About Devices

Q. What devices are supported?

A. iOS 11.0 or later, iPhone 6S or later devices.
Android 9.0 or later, ARCore compatible devices.

Q. Are there any plans to follow up on unsupported devices in the future?

A. This is an app that takes advantage of AR, there are no plans to support non-AR devices at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
And, we are considering adding support for Android devices.

Q. What is AR?

A. It stands for Augmented Reality, a technology that superimposes virtual objects on actual scenery or objects.

Q. My avatar has slipped through the floor!

A. If the camera cannot recognize a flat surface, the avatar will not be able to land. Please try again in a brighter place with more floor space.

Q. My avatar slipped on the floor.

A. AVATAVI currently only applies motion to avatars that have humanoid bone support. If the model is not humanoid, has a different bone structure, or has no bones, motion will not be applied and the model may slip on the floor.

Q. I can't move my avatar anymore.

A. If there is no flat surface around you, such as being surrounded by tall shields or walls, you may not be able to move. Try again in a larger area.

Q. Avatar display is too large or too small.

A. You can zoom in and out by pinching the screen with two fingers.

Q. Nothing is displayed.

A. Tap the floor in the play screen to display your avatar.

About Avatar

Q. What is an avatar?

A. In AVATAVI, all CG that can be stored in the avatar box, such as characters that can be displayed and controlled on the play screen and 3D scanned models of yourself, are all called avatars.

Q. I accidentally deleted the avatar I added.

A. There is no function to undo the deleted data. Please add the data again.

Q. I want to use an avatar other than the default one.

A. You can add another avatar by clicking on the "Home" icon in the upper left corner of the play screen and selecting "Add Avatar".

Q. I want to use original characters that have already been converted to CG.

A. You can add your avatar to the app in the following three ways. All of these options can be added from the page below the "Add Avatar" button.

(1) Save the data to an external service that can issue URLs (Google Drive, Drop box, etc.) and add it by typing the URL of the destination into the "Add by entering URL" field.

(2) Turn the URL that contains the avatar into a QR code, and add it to the app by reading the QR code.

(3) Select and add the data that you have already saved on your device from the "Add from Device" button.

(4) If the data has been uploaded to Sketch Fab, it will be searchable from "Add from external service". If there are no hits in the search, try changing the search conditions from the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Q. I want to use my company's character as an avatar.

AVATAVI does not have a function to create CG characters, but curiosity, inc., the developer of the application, can develop CG characters. Please contact us.

Q. I want to make myself an avatar.

AVATAVI does not currently have a function to create your own avatar.Please use an external service that creates avatars.

Q. I want to make an original avatar.

AVATAVI does not have a function to create avatars. However, it is possible to add avatars created by VRoidHub, which is linked to the application, or by external services that can publish URLs(Ready Player Me.

Q. I want to play with non-humanoid avatars.

It is possible to add non-humanoid objects to the avatar box to display AR. However, the bone structure should be named according to the Humanoid bone structure.

Q. What is the data format of avatars I can add?

The formats that can be added are "fbx / vrm / gltf / glb".
These formats also support zip files that include textures.

Motions

Q. I want to use motions other than the ones set by default.

We are sorry, but we do not currently support adding motions other than those set by default. Please wait for the update as we are planning to consider it.。

Q. Motion does not work properly with the original character I added.

AVATAVI currently only applies motion to avatars that support Humanoide bones. If the model is not humanoid, has a different bone structure, or has no bones, motion will not be applied.
Also, even if the bone structure is compatible with the Humanoid bone, there is a possibility that the motion will be broken if the character has extremely long or short limbs.

About searching for avatars

Q. The model I want to search for is not a hit.

You can change the search conditions by clicking the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Q. I want to add an avatar from VRoid Hub.

Currently, only SketchFab is linked. The integration between this application and VRoid Hub is currently under development, so please wait for the update.

Q. Where can I add an avatar?

You can add avatars by tapping the "Add Avatar" button on the "Home" icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

Q. Can I use the motions of the avatar I added?

Currently, you cannot apply motions other than the six that are included in AVATAVI by default to your avatar, so please wait for the update.

Other

Q. I would like to use the video taken with AVATAVI for commercial purposes (company promotion, etc.).

Footage taken with AVATAVI may be used for commercial purposes only if you own the copyright of the avatar you are using.
Also, the two avatars stored by default are our copyrighted works and may not be used for commercial purposes.

Q. I want to take a picture with my friend's avatar.

Currently, two avatars cannot be displayed at the same time in AVATAVI.

Q. Is it possible to have avatars on multiple devices appear and operate at the same time?

Only real-time shooting with AR will be available. Please understand.

Q. Can I add an avatar to an existing video?

Only real-time shooting with AR will be available. Please understand.

Q. Is this app free to use?

Basic functions are available for free, but there is a possibility that paid functions will be added in future updates.

Q. I have deleted the application. Can I continue to use the avatars I added?

We do not store users' device data. Deleting the application will return all avatar boxes to their initial state.

Q. I want to migrate my app data to another device.

Currently, AVATAVI does not have a user registration function, so it does not have a data transfer function. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please add the data again.

Q. About the use of location information

This app does not have the ability to acquire location information.

Q. Data storage location

We do not save or store any data as AVATAVI service. All added data will be stored only in the user's terminal.

Q. Can I play offline?

Basic functions can be used offline. If you want to add avatars from external services, you need to be online.
